William & Son has a particular and definitively British take on the finest things in life.This year the company said farewell to Mount Street and began a new chapter in its history with the opening of its 8,600 sq ft boutique department store in Mayfair’s Bruton Street. For the first time, the entire and magnificently varied William & Son inventory - from fine jewellery to hand-crafted shotguns, London’s benchmark selection of haute horlogerie to grand occasion silverware, cufflinks to bed linen, luggage in the highest quality leathers to bespoke backgammon sets - will be available on two levels in one remarkable place.
Hourglass was chosen to produce all of the laminated glass for the curved showcases and displays. The half-round laminated bends were produced to tolerances of less than 1mm which enabled the display cases to be produced by the shop-fitter at the same time as the glass was produced to templates reducing production time considerably.
