Project Details
The gift shop at the V&A museum was designed by Eva Jaricna and Hourglass worked closely with Eva to produce the very contemporary showcases.
The main showcases were constructed using toughened low-iron glass laminate to provide strength and security with the minimum of stainless frame support. The overhead low voltage lighting had cabling concealed within the stainless structure.
The tall showcases and counter units were constructed using toughened laminate and with mitred UV bonded joints. The counter units also had sliding glass drawers which were bonded to special drawer runners.
